The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is like a team of people who help keep everyone safe and make sure everyone follows the law in a place called DeLand, Florida.

They look after a really big area that’s about 1,432 square miles, and their job is to make sure that people who live in Volusia County can feel safe and protected.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring peace, protecting citizens and their property, enforcing all laws, and identifying and preventing crime.

With approximately 860 employees, half of them sworn law enforcement officers and half civilian staff, plus 200 volunteers and a budget of approximately $112 million, the Sheriff’s Office maintains the utmost professional standards while providing a complete range of law enforcement services and crime prevention programs to the inhabitants of Volusia County.

Besides our jurisdiction throughout unincorporated Volusia, the Sheriff’s Office also offers law enforcement services on a contractual basis in Deltona, DeBary, Pierson, and Oak Hill.
